Bubbles is three years old and approximately one week ago she did not come out of the run. Earlier in the day she was doing just fine. I see no obvious injuries to her feet her legs. She can move her legs. She can move her feet and all of her toes, but she cannot support her own weight. Her appetite and water intake has not slowed down at all. She stretches out her wings to help balance but is unable to walk. I’ve been able to manipulate her legs, her ankles, her toes her feet and she doesn’t complain. She is able to grab my fingers with her feet. In addition to her regular water intake, I have been giving her vitamin B 12 with a syringe. I have seen no improvement in the last week. She is still very talkative and is still laying her daily egg.

In reading some of the associated posts with hens exhibiting the same symptoms, I can check off that she is not a victim of being bullied. She and her sister are one and two in the pecking order and get along very well. The chickens lower in the packing order are doing just fine. It’s just very odd That these symptoms came on so quickly.

She is so adorable. Hopefully things will improve ❤

Here we are 2 weeks later. Bubbles stands straight up, uses wings for balance, her tail as a rudder and walks like penguin. She has come a long way.
