Blue/barred rock roo

I've got the first of the eggs from my blue rocks in the bator. I had forgotten that yours were hatching early. Next sunday and monday are day 21 for them. It will be interesting to see if mine do the same.

Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments. Jody, it was just sheer accident, it was nothing planned. Isnt that how things go? The girls from this same cross are absolutely gorgeous, too, wonderful lacing on a lot of them. Its just a terrific cross. Now if they lay those nice big brown barred rock-type eggs, the experiment will be a roaring success....

Ooo ooo ooo, BluRoo, look at Pumpkinpups baby boy. Is that what your boy looked like at that age? Wow look at that barring. Watch when his hackles and saddle feathers come in, see if they are barred. Ooooh, he'll be fun to watch.

Katy, keep us posted on the hatch.

Holy cow!! That one has barring everywhere! I want mine to grow up already.

I don't remember any real distinct barring when he was youger, it was very pale, you had to look for it and then it was first noticed in his tail so pumpkinpup's boy will be another variation on this cross! Please keep us updated on his changes
