Blue Berg Muffs

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You might want to check out the Genetics/Breeding forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/16188/exhibition-genetics-breeding-to-the-standard-of-perfection It depends on what you mean by "prove" if you want to know if a certain rooster and hen are the parents of a certain chick you could do parentage testing via DNA. If you are talking about like when people lay their lines are such and such... you can't really "prove" that, you have to go by the word of the individual, so how honest they are, how good their record keeping and paperwork is, how well they identify and separate their birds for breeding and sales etc etc etc all would come into play.

Welcome to BYC!

I have NO idea! But Kelsie has given you some great advice.

Welcome to our flock and good luck with this concern!

Thank you. I was looking to start breeding and I Have what I was told are some Berg Muffs. I was trying to find out if what I had been told about them were true before I started. I DO NOT want to get started and give people false information because I did not do my due diligence.
