They are now cooling in my freezer. Curly was a monster. He weighed 11lbs at 20 weeks.

WHAT?? You butchered curly, that huge blue orp roo?? Oh, NO, he was amazing!!!! IN spite of his feet he was the largest orp I have ever seen on here.

Oooohhh. OK... now I'm hungry.
BTW, TOH, how would you cook up Lt Brahma, then? We had a bad case of heads-falling-off-itis yesterday, and I have 3 Lt Brahmas aging before freezing today. Looking for ideas here...

I'm going to do mine in the crock pot..sometimes I add a whole bottle of Italian dressing into the pot with the bird and let it simmer all day and then add noodles...some I'll do with dumplings..

I have 12 orps to butcher soon.....

Tuff, dont forget the broccoli to go with your dinner!

Yep I butchered some of my Blue and Black Orp cockerals and they were good eating! We can not keep them all and only one or two out of so many would go on to become flock sires or mother nature's doing.

Shipping is too hot right now......
