i agree with you picks right now.we wait till around 15 weeks before we decide roo an hen an who is staying an who is going.we have had 12 week old hens turn into roos by 15-18 weeks orps can be tricky.we have had roos get there sadle feathers before they had any comb.we are starting to work with some english lines an they seem to take even longer.but the roos get huge our friend just wieghted her roo from the same stock as ours an he was 17lbs an was born in feb.we have one that is right around there an one that is about 15lbs.dont worry to much about keeping roos together we have 5-6 together in our free range flock an we have 20 roos in the dinner pen lol.
