Blue-Black Swedish

I love my swedish. They may be Blue or Black or what is called Splash which is white with some blue feathers. Mine are fair layers. 4 to 5 eggs a week and fairly calm. I also have golden300s, Buff Orpingtons and white layers. They lay a little more than the swedish.

I bet you’ll love them! I have a blue Swedish drake and a black Swedish hen...they are the sweetest, goofiest creatures. Very smart, affectionate but not needy. Mine are mid sized, my hen lays an egg every day. She started at 6 months and became regular after her first molt. They greet me whenever I come home and often want to come in and hang out with me in the kitchen. I have so much fun with them!

Yeah, I only plan on keeping a drake and a couple hens for myself as pets. The rest are going to a friend and relatives, depending what hatches. I will have to come up with appropriate "duckie" names.
