Yep, that is my single lavender cochin hen standing to his right.
I don't even know what color he would be considered. I guess it is just blue with leakage....but almost looks like a blue partridge or something like that. Really neat looking guy. Nice personality too.
The pea-combed splash cochin roo that fathered these guys had a TON of red leakage in his wings. I'm pretty sure that's where the copper/gold is coming from. The silver on the males might be coming from the light brahma hens. Not sure if it's completely sex-linked, but it reminds me of when you cross a light and buff brahmas. Or is that silver and gold laced wyandottes?
Ooooh, between your blue copper girl and my blue copper girl, we could make some blue copper brahmas, LOL.
I'm working on getting a Light Brahma rooster to cross over the girls. I may separate and keep track of the best solid blue girls' offspring as I think they will be most impressive....she has no leakage at all.
