Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

Yeah I am loving the green eggs for decorating, and the white's are a close second. My normal egg buyers are like "what's with all brown?"

I bought MORE rubs ons yesterday. I was thinking about working at home today to get caught up... hmm... pretty sure that's not happening.

I started out with so much gumption...I can't believe it has taken me so long to start a few! This is so pathetic, several eggs cracked while blowing them out, some blew up in the microwave, some cracked under pressure from rubbing...

...this is a lesson in patience and learning!

Here's some of my supplies...I was going to try to stamp a few eggs, and against all common sense bought a few...are we shocked they don't work? No.

Here are some semi-completed ornaments. I figured I would take a picture before I broke the rest putting the ribbons and caps on! I have little faith in my own abilities.

Trial and error doesn't cut it for a perfectionist!

Edited to add...and I still need to mod podge. Only 3 of these are possibly tree worthy!

I have never microwaved. I know alot of people do it to speed the process but it would really tick me off to lose them like that:-( I wanted to try that because Im not extremly patient but after hearing about everyone elses breaking I think I'll stick to my 2-3 day dry time

If you've ever done rubber stamping, you know that you have to ink up the stamp well and use lots of pressure to get a good image. Since the eggs are not flat, and you have to 'roll' the stamp on the egg, it's really difficult to not smudge and to just get an even image to transfer. At least that was my experience.
