what talent you all have!!! I MUST do this! What have you found to be the easiest way to blow out the eggs? I am reading through all of the pages...not even half way through! Cannot wait to try this! Thanks for all the ideas!!!!! BYC rocks!!!
the hobby section is now my favorite spot!

70 pages down....24 to go...going to try blowing out some eggs with flavor injector ...then off to craft store for inspiration! Love all of the beautiful eggs you all have made!!

You can do it nelgkel! Try some designs and show us how they turn out.

The hardest part for me is blowing the eggs out....it's pretty messy and time-consuming. I have a stash of tiny pullet eggs I've been putting off a few weeks...I need to get them blown out soon but I just don't have the time yet.

Now I'll have to go back thru this thread and see what everyone has come up with so far this year.....

Everyones eggs are Beautiful...must admit, so were mine, but after making 4 dozen of them, advertising everywhere I could think of, going to the Jocket lot, you name it. Sold 2 for $1.5 each, gave the rest away. I guess that is the end of my egg decorations!!

Will post update as soon as I do...have an idea and can't wait to try it and post how it went..

I got my Blas-fix egg blower this week. The best part about it is the tool they provide to make the hole. It's like a hand-held drill bit and gently files away the shell without cracking it. I have found that two things help immensely (whether using the Blas-fix or not):
#1: bringing the eggs to room temperature before blowing them and
#2 scrambling up the yolk with a toothpick prior to blowing.

With the Blas-fix you don't have to make two holes in the eggs but I do. I find that it is faster to clean out the eggs with a needle and syringe (w/ water and/or peroxide) than it is to load up the B-f, shoot it in and blow it out. That's just my preference.

I have only used it about a dozen or so times, but I'm finding that the B-f is very cheaply made and is beginning to come apart at the top seam. Obviously it will become useless at that point, but just something to be aware of (I'm trying to think of a way to patch it but I'm not sure superglue would do the trick).

Good luck & have fun!
