Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

I get $5 each. At the post office where I work part time and where all those full timers work making the big money, they said $5 was too expensive and bought none. At the school where my mother works and as we all know, they don't get payed enough, they are selling like hot cakes for $5 there.

I figured up all the materials, if you don't count all the time that goes into making these things then I have about $1.90-$2 in each one. Since I only work part time and only have one 2yo child (who can be a full time job all by himself sometimes!) I have a little more free time on my hands than someone working full time and I enjoy it.

He must be a very good friend that you let him set that price!

$7.00 is fair to me-after my time and all the thoughtful effort That I know I put into them...

Yeah, I call him my uncle

He's given me a lot of help and advice, as well as birds. He's practically family. So I guess sparing a couple eggs is fine, haha

$5-$7 sounds good to me. I saw a post earlier in here about starting at 7 and going down to incourage people to buy more than one. But I can see people saying "Oh that's cool! But too expensive!"
And yet I have seen less creative, not-handmade, plain colored ornaments at the store that were expensive as well

I think I'll start out at $5 and see how that goes. If people end up wanting a lot, I'll try going up a bit.

Ya know, in the town I live, is a famous Christmas Village and I knew a guy from stained glass class that hawked his glass ornaments in their parking lot!
I may find some extra time to "hang-out" by my trunk this weekend!

I got some temporary tattoos and some stickers while I was at the dollar store. Both worked great on the eggs. Of course the stickers had some folds, but as far as mod podging and all that, they survived!

Hobby Lobby isn't as close, and I ran out of rub ons, haha.

My son said his teacher cried-tears! She said in all her years teaching, these were the most clever and precious and beautiful.
She also knows how much Wyatt (ds) loves our pet chickens and because of his reading difficulties over the last couple of years, his school IEP encourages him to read to his chicks and she has read his plans from previous years.
The best teacher gift ever!

I'm ruined! I just started reading this post last night and today I've spent 40 bucks in crafting supplies! We're tossing our eggs right now because we wormed our birds a week ago... so excited to be able to do something useful with those eggs! I'll post pics when I'm done.
