Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

After you posted the link in your auction, I read every post on this thread. I'm going to try some of these ideas this year!

Its a fun read isnt it:) I fell in love the first time I did these-everytime I do them they get better and better-now My eyes watch every egg laid for these-I stop at every craft place I can to look for things to do for these:) LOOOVE it

That is exactly what I do. Every day when I bring in my eggs I check them for any keepers that have the perfect color, speckles, or shape I want to keep. I blow them after I get enough to cook scrambled eggs for the family.
Have to resist buying more stuff at the craft stores though since I have enough to open my own store now lol.

This is my last batch-without string and bead caps

I was thinking if the rub ons are can be such a pain, i wonder if stamping and embossing would work for the designs? Wouldnt leave any lines and you could put what ever color embossing powder on? Might be worth a shot

Stamps dont work very well; I tried it last year. You'd have to get tiny, tiny stamps, because since the eggs are not flat, you have to roll the stamp on the egg to get it to transfer. I tried a bunch of different things last year, and the transfers (smaller ones) work the best, unless you are good free-handing with paint pens.

Thanks Kansaseq & JenEric Farms ~

sonew123 ~ Thanks ... You can get the paint at Lowes, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Michaels ... I bought Krylon. The only 2 I painted were the red one and the gold one. The ones that look pink are actually brown, I took the pic with my cell phone and it washed them out a little.
