How did you get them to stand up like that! So cool. I have been LAZY with my eggs. I need to remember how it was before Christmas when I had no blue eggs to work with...and blow a bunch out right now!

You did a GREAT job! If anyone knows how difficult it is drawing straight lines on an egg it is me! Has anyone ever made Ukranian eggs before? That will test your patience!

thanks everyone! I do know it is difficult to draw a straight line. I did not find it too hard to do the vertical ones. I did use a compass to create the horizontal lines. Even that was not fool proof. What I did learn was that I need to remove most of the line before painting because as I straightened the lines while painting some of the pencil was not covered and did not cover despite several coats of white. I am now wanting to do this with some of the colored eggs. I have Ameraucanas and some Olive Eggers that the shell color would still work with this theme.
I have seen the Ukranian Egg Art and love it. I think this has inspired me to move on to try this. I am posting a link I found for beginners. LOL. I find rubbing the designs on so tedious! I was happier with the results of painting.

It took me all day (plus chores, etc.) but I finally read this entire thread! I have eggs in green, blue and various shades of brown. Rub-ons, stickers, beads, ribbon and a few other supplies.

Even tho we're out in the boonies (about an hour SE of Denver), we're holding a big garage sale 2 weekends before Easter to hopefully earn enough money to fence our little 2 acres. This gave me some great ideas. Only thing is... as of last week, we finally have customers for our eggs! To eat!

Gonna figure out something.

Meanwhile, thanks for the great inspiration, and wonderful pictures! While I have absolutely no artsy talent, and my hands only work about 10% of the time... I'm hoping I can do SOMETHING with our eggs!

Thanks.
