Where did the egg blower come from or what is it called?

Blas-Fix Egg Blower
I got mine from Amazon.. but here's the exact same thing (from the same seller) on eBay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blas-Fix-Eg...586?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c790cf1a

makes life SO much easier.. I did use a little "hand drill" (no motor .. kinda like a screwdriver handle with a drill bit) to pierce a hole in the egg since I didn't care for the one that came in the kit

I swear it looks like cheap plastic junk.. but that little blower has made blowing the goo out of eggs so much easier and faster!
Already told my husband I am going to get a few more to keep as spares for when this one dies

Awesome thanks!. I wonder if a large 20cc syringe wtih a large bore blunt tip needle would work as well? I'm a nurse and why am I just now deciding there is got to be a better way after blowing out 9 dozen eggs??????........ sheesh!!

I used syringes to do mine. Can't remember if I used a 20cc or 12; probably depended on the size of the egg. Just remember to start slow with the larger syringes, as I ended up cracking a few eggs by using too much force.

I use syringes and needles to blow mine out. I've found that the larger the syringe volume the more likely I am to blow more air into the egg than it can handle and pop it. I use a 5 ml syringe right now and don't really pop any. I also use a smaller bore needle because the holes I punch with the thumbtack at either end are too small for the needle and I crack it. I guess I could do larger holes but I'm really bad with getting them centered and so a smaller hole is much easier to cover for me.

I still blow 'em out the old fashioned way, headaches and all, but don't do enough to worry about it...
BUT, I have always had a lot of success using a small jewelers screwdriver to make the holes--works really well for me, sort of use the corner of it to gently push through and make a small hole, then enlarge as needed. No, it's not a perfectly round hole, but works fine for me to get the innards out leaving the shell intact. I can't remember when, or even if, I've ever crushed an egg using one. Just thought I'd throw that in the ring for those who might want to experiment...

I've only been using duck eggs, but I use my Dremel and a grinding stone 'bit' --- set them big end up in a carton and buzz perfect holes in 18 eggs in a few seconds (just one hole per egg).
I've got those 'injector syringes' (1 1/2 oz?) from the grocery store and use those to 'blow out' the egg over a bowl. Drop the mostly empty shells in a dish pan of bleach water. When all the eggs are done, I use the same syringe and fill the eggs with bleach water. Shake them around a bit and 'blow out' the bleach water with the syringe.
I usually stick them on skewers and let them air dry til I'm ready to decorate (bad experiences trying to dry them in the microwave, haha).
