Thanks Ksane and flower. I really like her, she has an awesome personality, very friendly and inquisitive. The breeder only sold her cause she thought she was a cockerel. But it evened out 'because I also bought two black pullets from them (I wanted blue eggs), and one of the blacks now has saddle feathers.

Zaxby's2 :

I really like blue, splash, self blue(lavender), blue mottled and other chicken colors like that, so I decided to start a thread for those birds only.

I recently aquired my first blue, a frizzle:

So go ahead! Post pics of your blue, splash, lavender, or blue mottled chickens! If you have any other colors that I've forgotten that are blue related then tell me, and I'll tell you if they count. Ready, set, go! Post away!

I have a splash breda that has possibly the most outrageous coloration I have ever seen on a chicken: Very pronounced splash pattern on top with a well-defined blue laced breast. (This bird is a rooster; breda have no combs.)

have you test mated him to confirm "Splash". Many Blues can become splash looking by the effects of ther genes, like Melanotic, Pg, Db, Co and Mo.

if it wasnt' fror the white markings, he would look just like a Melanotic, blue bird, something else is affecting its color.
