Are they blue or blue copper? You let me know when you get eggs and we will do some trading! Have 18 eggs on order so I will have more blood lines to work with!

BTW pullets to me too!

Question.... I have BBS marans, also hatched some lavendar orps and ameraucanas this year, they are all together right now. I have asked about the color genetics of breeding blue to black, splash, etc. but what about the lavendars? How do they relate, if at all, to the blues and splashes, and what about olive eggers? Not sure how I should divide up the pens come egg time?

I am taking a crash course in lavs and it is a completely dif gene and should not be breed with blues at all. Black are ok but not Blues. BTW I have 2 split lavs chicks, 2 lavs chicks and 7 lav ameraucana eggs in the bator so when spring get here we should both be set for egg trading

If it was me for olive eggers i would stick with the blacks x lavs. One thing I now about lavs is they breed TRUE lav x lav = 100% lav blues don't work that way. Lav olive eggers must add that to my list!!!!! Lav Wheaten Olive Eggers..... even harder!!! Fun

of course I still want my Blue olive eggers.

Here are a few of my blues.

This is Blue (yes, I know, how original). She is a feral/Faverolles cross and she lays blue-green eggs too.
