It has got quite a bit of comb for this young. Chances are good that it's a cockerel.

He def presents himself as a Roo. We kept him and got him five hens. Any personal experience on temperament?

Looks like a Cochin roo to me. S/he is still little, though, so could be a pullet. My Cochins are only four weeks old, so I don't have advice about their temperament.
