Blue comb and wattle, also Marek's

One of my Marek's survivor roos is presenting with blue comb and wattle. I have read other threads on this. I believe he is able to crow as I have heard him done so fine with blurring of the tips of the comb. As this has progressed he does not crow. He eats and drinks regularly. Have not seen his poop. He sleeps standing up and has more difficulty walking (more so than his residual gimp from Marek's). I believe his heart is failing and he is not oxygenating well. Thoughts? I am strongly contemplating culling him to ensure he does not suffer... any advice is appreciated.

If he is a Marek's bird, it sounds like he may have a tumour developing perhaps on his heart or lungs. Birds that have had an outbreak of Marek's are prone to subsequent and more serious attacks as well as secondary infections and tumours. It sounds like it might be time to end his suffering.

Those were my thoughts too. I don't want to give him a bunch of drugs guessing.

I finally saw him poop. It is essentially water with minor "solid"/urates. I hate his disease.

Ok so today I found 2 eggs without a shell. My ladies have only been laying for 2 weeks and I think only 3-4 of them are actually laying. Should I be concerned about infectious bronchitis? I am hoping it is just a new hen or two coming into maturity. They are on layer organic feed and I give them eggshells. I can up the calcium rich foods and reduce the veggie treats. I am only considering IB as a possibility given my Roos poor health. I honestly in my heart feel his is Marek's related though....

I had that happen to 3 hens and 1 rooster I found out it was a heart problem. I had to put them all down. Do the hens have blue combs? My hens did and they starred laying eggs with no shells a few day before their combs truned.

No blue combs in the females yet. Some are still pale pink as they have not matured. Others are red faced.

Well the poor roo past. He was a sweet one. We shall see what happens with the females/eggs.

Sorry about your roster. How old are the hens? Have you wormed them? I know you said something about IB. Are they showing any sings of it? Have you heard any noise in their cheast If they are eatting drinking and running around like any other day then I would just say add oyster shells and see if that helps.
