blue comb..not active..

We have a chicken that has a blueish colored comb, she in not active, and when i went our there a moment ago she was shaking. i put her under the heat lamp and she stop shaking but she seems unbalanced- is there anything i can do?

Bring her to a warm dark place in a box or cage away from other birds. I would give her some electrolyts in her water and feed some scrambled egg or yogurt. she probably has frost bite and the comb will turn black in a few days.

If the comb is completely blue, you may have a disease going on.
Isolate the bird, give it warmth however you can and keep it
inactive and feed yogurt, starter and/or cat food.

Keep the bird hydrated and make sure it is drinking, important.
If not you will need to give the bird water by dropper.

Sounds like a heart ailment & circulation problems. So sorry to hear that you're losing her.

Blue would suggest to me ( a novice) a circulation problem too.

Definately sounds like heart. Chances are you cannot help. When a human has a heart problem, aspirin will help them because of the blood thinning capabilities. Maybe try some aspirin water for her if she is not too far gone. Best wishes to you and her.
