I lost two chickens recently whose combs turned blue shortly prior to death. Apparently my husband put down rock salt, I let them out not knowing he did and he saw them picking at it. Sends them into failure. Poor things now they will be locked in the coop and kennel rest of winter because He has to get the ice off the driveway again because of the storm abd then rain the other day. The petsafe stuff is so darn expensive and business is slow so gotta cut corners. Thank goodness for my job as a nurse. ErinM
