Blue Cuckoo Marans 5 weeks

Cuckoo marans are suppose to be able to auto sex by coloring but don’t find any research if same for blue cuckoo. Also don’t find if will stay this color or if turns black/white cuckoo coloring or if grey/black or what exactly becomes cuckoo. Great personality, little odd as squats to poop not sure I encouraged that bc wiped fluff butt when pooped bc got on all that fluff. In love either way but lots of questions.

Agree this bird is male.
The barring in blue cuckoo Marans is more subtle.

Yes, the colour of your cockerel should stay the same as he is now.

I have two. No barring except the 2 feathers on her feet. After looking at your male it's safe to say mine is a pullet.

Update w Photo: 11 weeks now and still no crow and had younger blue copper marans crowing at 7 weeks. He’s beautiful, can be picked up, doesn’t make much mess or bother ladies and squats to poop. Not sure such a thing but I’m hoping for a gay rooster. Either that or he’s really strategic and trying to pull off pullet for as long as can to make sure can stay. I’m good with it. Lol

Most don't start crow until 3-4 months. Younger than that is more unusual in my experiences. Definitely a cockerel with that big comb.
