She took forever to start laying. I was concerned she was laying out in the woods, but then the sky blue eggs started arriving in the coop!
 
Thank you! We are very proud of her. Its not easy to make it to adulthood in our free range flock out here...but once there they are usually good to go. Now we're just waiting to see if Bonefu is a pullet or roo & whether or not we need to hatch out some more eggs in the spring
 
Nope, she's an araucana, purebred from Hinkjc's flock. She's just not show standard, but her parents were both rumpless and one was double tufted. Araucanas can throw rump or non-rump, tuft or non-tuft to their offspring, so any given hatch will have some with the 'araucana' standard of rumpless/tufted, and some won't. However, she could easily have some of her offspring show up as rumpless & tufted. Crazy genetics on this breed.
