Blue head of a barred rock chick.

Hi guys,

I have 2.9 months/9 weeks approx old three barred rock chicks: 1 rooster + 2 hens.
The rooster got slighlty injured, about how this happened, that i don't know.
So one of the injuries was minor the other seemed major.
The minor ones were the scratches on the left side of head. Which i cleaned with disinfectant/medical alcohol(spirit).
The major one was that, the right eye was red.
So what is worrying me is that, when i first noticed this event, his head was red, now after 24 hours its blue. So is it infected?

Also a secondary question, is my barred rock chick's size according to age(2.9 months/9 weeks approx), fine or not?

I think the blue is a bruise. It actually looks sort-of green on my computer screen. I do not think that color is a problem. It's a lot like human bruises, that can turn many colors as they heal (black, purple, blue, green, yellow, and so forth.)

I'd think it's bruising. Meat shows those colors when a bird struggles before butcher

A 9 week old chick should be fully feathered. It is hard to tell on a pic if it is the expected size.
