Granny's gone and done it again

Probably no more worries about a Foley. Briefs work well.
And Micro is right about the weight loss. Scott got so small. My 5ft 11 man not only looked skinny, but he was a lot shorter. A lot. :(
Yaay..you get him back today. 💘
That's odd about the short. He has already lost his appetite. The ensure is helping but why the high sugars? They just called and said I could head that way in an hr. Bedside commode just got delivered so Robert can come w/ me.

gross!

Wonder what they would do about his Foley?
Take care of it. They would see that it is working properly and changed once a month. They would be there X number of days per week depending on his care level. Help with bathing, provide a bed/mattress/gerichair (reclining lounge chair for him to be in that rolls) It would take a lot off of you.

I know, I know. You feel like you are giving up hope for a recovery. That was the thing that bothered me also. They will realistically evaluate him and be honest with you about what they think is going on with him and if he has a chance of recovering even partially. It isn't a death sentence. It's a potential respite for you and your son and yes, you can get a body alarm hooked up for him.

Cynthia wouldn't the Foley depend on what it's there for? Like is it due to an obstructive prostate gland compared to incontinence problems?

My husband had prostate cancer along with the Alzheimer’s. He never had a problem with obstruction. Tom has this? :(
My son with Spina Bifida has had the Foley at times. For when he was going to be bedridden for quite a while after surgery. Tom is pretty much bed ridden...chair/sitting. Would be good for her to know if the Foley is for obstruction or bedridden. I'm sure she knows. 😜
