Blue Jersey Giants or...

26 weeks old and I am starting to wonder if I have BJJ and some other breed. They were supposed to be BJJ...thanks!

What color is the bottom of the feet? Yellow would be Jersey giant, pink may mean Orpington.

JG have single combs, and third pic looks like pea comb, possibly. Maybe just delayed development?

all JG are supposed to have yellow feet bottoms.

it looks, maybe, like some have somewhat fluffy cheeks, which would not be typical of JG.

their body shape and stance look similar to JG. including a flat (horizontal) back. But, JG should have a wide spreading tail, and some do not appear to have that type tail.

Very pretty birds! Love their color!

18 of my 62 hens are recovering from respiratory issues. 8 of the 10 JGs had it, I just got them off antibiotics last week. They are doing much better.

Ok checked the bottoms of their feet and I have three colors.

Yellow bottoms

Pink bottoms

White bottoms

I have been reading up and none of mine have the really bright yellow feet bottoms. All the different opinions and hatchery vs breeder birds etc has me confused. I got them all from TSC and they came from Hoover’s Hatchery. I guess I’ll wait and see which ones get the biggest and not worry about what the others are. The combs, wattles and overall look are definitely different. I think I might have three breeds of blue hens from the looks of it. No bright yellow feet though.
