Blue Kote Question

Not sure if this is the right place for this to be but wasn't sure which topic to post it in!!

Awhile back someone posted something about not using blue kote on birds your going to process!! Is this true??

I have 2 roosters that I will be culling and my in laws will be processing when their big enough and have had to coat them with blue kote several time due to feather picking!! Don't want to get anyone sick or anything!!
