Blue laced and gold laced orpingtons I have them but need splash

I have a very limited gene pool and know that I am going to have to introduce other orpington genes to keep it going strong. I am willing to let someone in on this project for a trade of some sort. For the sake of time I really need laying birds not hatching eggs. These are second generation pure bred from england no wyandotes used.......
You cant get straight single combs grey legs and lacedd feathering from wyandotes perhaps you are seeing that they are not a full year old yet.

What are the requirements for the "trade" and who/what are you wanting in order to arrange a partner with this breeding project?

I have some extra Splashes, but i'm not going to offer them outright in exchange for birds I know nothing about! If they're project birds, it helps to know how far along the project is!

Single-combed Wyandottes do exist, as do laced (such as the Blue Laced Red, Golden Laced, and Silver Laced).​

I would be open to sugestions I first introduced these birds on here about 3 months ago and had several nay-sayers and doubters so I will confess I am a little touchy. I guese what I should say is if you dont have anything good to say I dont want to hear about it.


I would be open to trading a hen for a dozen eggs some from the hen and some from mine. If I had someone trust worthy to work with I would be open to other ideas.

Boy, now I am hurt. I thought I was your partner. I have a boat load of splash orpingtons and a pen already separated with 3 Splash roos, 8 Splash hens, 2 Black hens , & 2 Blue hens.

You should have said you were looking for "Splash". I thought you were looking at my golden laced project. I can get you pictures of the Splash pen. PM me and let me know what you have in mind.

I do agree that they are not wyndotte type they look orphington like to me No wyndottes I have every heard of have had gray or white legs they all have yellow leggs and most have flat combs. I wish I had the facilities or birds to help you with this project.
