LOL I know, this thread is useless without pictures. I will take a pic tonight I promise! I just had to share though... the Saxony/Rouen ducklings we have are a month old now and have BLR juvenile feathering, its so beautiful!!! I never knew ducks could have lacing, I know its juvenile and wont last but they are awesome!

My Appleyard/Buff and Appleyard/Khaki ducklings have blue feathers with reddish brown lacing. SO AWESOME!

Ok all, bad news. The camera fritzed out on me when I got home last night! I am going to WA for a week tomorrow. I hate to make you all wait, but I will post a pic of them when I get back...honestly the feathering will show better by then anyways because right now they only have one small patch with the lacing. A thousand appologies I did not mean to tease!

What does lacing look like anyway?

Any pics? (from chicken owners if that's the only place they grow)?

I have a Runner with feathers I thought would be called lacing so I was looking forward to seeing what real lacing actually is.

All my Buff crosses have lacing. When crossed with my mallard they are blue with red/brown lacing. When crossed with my Buff x mallard they are buff or creamy with red lacing.
