Blue-Laced-Red ducklings! *PICS at last!*

Your duck is really beautiful too, Froggie. You probably ended up with some form of Cinnamon with the d/d from the Khaki and the Bl/Bl from the Fawn and White Runner, making your bird possibly Bl/bl since Blue is incompletely dominant. Whatever happened, she is pretty!

So that explains my young runner. She started out with what I thought was lacing but in this Colorado sun it must have already faded. I also thought she might be blue, but now she looks more of a milky chocolate with silver overtones.

Thanks! Coco is about 9 weeks in the pic. I'm hoping it doesn't fade too much, because it is really a neat color. I may have to look into the genetics more. It's very interesting.

Froggie!!

i have had a TON of those hatch this year. my hen is a khaki/GC and the drake is a F&W Runner...I had more blues that i had blondes! I even got a crested one, hes the only one i kept(i thought he was a scovy mule), he's also laced.

ETA: Gonzo has kept his lacing and is fully feathered in, cant remember his exact age though. was hatched Very early this year.

Those are absolutely stunning Blue Fawns. Blue is incompletely dominant, so basically you have one dose of blue dilution going on. If you breed those together now, you should get a few that pop up that are Pastels (some with the light dilution of the Saxony too). Gorgeous! I bet they are going to be even more beautiful as they mature.
