Yours looks like a Black on my iPad and my phone.

I have a light splash pullet with her faults. She so far seems to light in the red department, almost a little Orange, and of course she had to have pale legs too, but she is the only one i got with these faults. to improve on her, i have a beautiful cockerel, Blue, who has been on here before, who is the right shade of mahogany, will pairing them together produce darker splash chicks with the right shade of red?

my guesses at this age were wrong on my chicks, except for the splash, that was clear.
the one i had that had that lighter cream shade of fluff, looked like a chipmunk, and now he is Turning out to be a dark blue, maybe a black ? its still hard to tell. they change so much every day, its incredible.

The most important thing is body structure. You can work on color with other colors. Splash to a black..etc
If the body style and structure has too many faults it should not be used for breeding no matter what color. Build the house first..than work on the window treatments.
So far your dark chick looks pretty good. It will be nice to watch his development.

in my picture, the one in front with the lighter shade speckling on the head, turned out to be a black, and the one in the back with the reddish speckling on the head, turned out a blue. it was easier to tell as the breast feathers came in. those wing feathers for me were no clear indication for blue or black.
