The most important thing is body structure. You can work on color with other colors. Splash to a black..etc
If the body style and structure has too many faults it should not be used for breeding no matter what color. Build the house first..than work on the window treatments.
So far your dark chick looks pretty good. It will be nice to watch his development.
i totally agree, but color was more obvious at this stage and that was what i was going off of first. body shape is hard to tell right now. the cockerel you've seen already, and given good comments on, but the splash pullet is harder to photograph in a natural body position. she like to be in the middle if everyone and won't single out. and if i try to seperate any individual, they wont hold still for a picture anyway. the dark chick yore talking about was that Chip?
