Here are my chicks. I don't know for sure who's a pullet and who's a cockerel. I know I don't want to let any pullets go by accident so I'll wait them out.
I ordered 3 from Hoover. They're 6 weeks old.
Chick #1 This chick got the straight comb so it's the most puzzling.
Chick #2 is the one I'm thinking for sure is a pullet.
Chick #3 this one I have thought is a rooster from nearly the start. It's comb has been red since it was real little.
These 5 chicks I hatched from eggs. They're 4 weeks old.
Chick #4 This one has the straight comb from the younger group. I so want this to be a pullet.
Chick #5 This one is so dark, and I think it's a roo.
Poor little ugly thing. LOL
Chick #6 This chick looks like a roo too to me.
Chick #7 This one is in the background of the above picture too.
Last is Chick #9 and this one was the most puzzling. I didn't know it was blue or splash so I thought it was just a dud. Well I've since noticed it is laced in blue or splash so it is in fact a blue laced chick just a poor base color. I hoped it would be a pullet so it could be in my layer flock but now I'm wondering that part too.
That's my chicks. On a brighter note, I did acquire two new roosters for my future breeding plans.
That's my new blue roo and this is my new black roo
They're molting and only 4 months old right now. Can't wait to see them grow up!
