i'm going with boy based on color pattern and leg size. also the patterned feathers near the tail are droopy.

I would wait it out. My 3 from Hoover are like that. So thick and difficult to tell. Mine are 7 weeks old though.

I'm gonna say cockerel. The messy wing pattern is often a male thing. I just had to deal with the unfortunate verdict with one of my own birds. Hoping we're all wrong!

Can anyone tell me if this is a pullet or cockerel? 17 weeks old now. The consensus on FB groups is cockerel, but nothing about it looks like a boy to me. No saddle feathers, hackle feathers, or tail feathers like all my other cockerels have already.

Thanks everyone! Though that’s not what I want to hear! lol. Going to keep it around until I get a definitive answer. Still no eggs or crowing, so until it crows it can stay.

Here is my special girl. Good BLRs are hard to find where I live, we are transporting a good rooster 1,500 km (932 miles if i am doing math right) to breed with her, he arrives Thursday, very excited!!

Ive been suspicious of this beauty since hatch. It’s now 13 weeks old. Longer wattles than I’m used to compared to my other two Wyandotte’s of different variety. Puffier comb. Possible saddle feathers I might be seeing come in, but not sure though. I couldn’t get better quality photos today.
