Edit- Geesh, I posted on wrong thread....photos at 10.5 weeks just the same.

DSCN1652.JPG
Above is Splash pullet. All looks good with her but she is low end of weight. 2lbs- 3 oz @ 10 weeks.

DSCN1653.JPG
Splash K. lowest weight @ 3lbs even.
DSCN1654.JPG

Light blue pullet- would be paired with dark blue K. Bit light weight 2lbs-2oz, he is 3lbs-3oz.
DSCN1655.JPG

Black K is the largest. He has always been strides ahead but others are starting to catch up. 3lbs-5oz. His fault is a few feather tips on one shank. K to right is he Dark blue, he has a few feather tips between webbing on feet.

Curious as to what was used to create this line. The throwback expression of feathered feet is throwing me.

These are Foley Line. Anyone else seeing this in their birds?

Origins Article-

Came across an article yesterday by Foley citing publications varafying (maybe) the BLRW origins are in America. Didn't last here but stock sold to England, from there around Europe. Germans perfected and that stock came back to America only to be muddied up by hatcheries.

Finally stopped raining to get a few photos at 20 weeks. I'll post some more later today.
BLRW-4-20week.JPG

Same pullet as 3rd photo
20-BLRW-5.JPG

Not split wing. This is my potential breeder. Nice red in hackle.
20-BLRW-3.JPG

Same pullet as photo 1. Hard to keep track of who is who when snapping shots.
20-BLRW-2.JPG

I'd like a good shot of him still. He's got better type than first cockerel but no red in hackle.
20-BLRW-1.JPG

Tail needs more lift, other than that a keeper for sure. She's less orange shafting than first pullet above.

I'll get some more, have a splash I wasn't going to breed based on color and a tad lighter than other pullets but so far she is my best type so must keep her. Want to get pics of her tail and type.

Another blue pullet.
20blrw-8.JPG
Idea of her tail spread.
20blrw-7.JPG

For the life of me I couldn't get a good photo of the splash in profile. Another day. She is far better than this portrait...
20blrw-6.JPG

This girl is the best type of blue pullets. Very little red in hackles. I'd say none but this photo shows a hint so guess there is some. First time seeing any. May keep her after all. Nearly no orange shafting in red areas. Splash girl has solid deep mahogany.
