Still trying to sex my BLRWs. SO much harder than the other chicks. Can you help me? I have six. I few I was able to catch and get pictures, but the others I just had to snap pics in the yards, so sorry they're not the best. Also, one is a duplicate, but I'm still trying to tell them apart, so sorry!

I am sooo not good at this but if I Had to guess I would think 4 & 5 and maybe #1 are Pullets and the rest roo's, but again, I am really bad a sexing.

The only one who might be a pullet is number 5 and it's looking pretty pink too. Number 4 does have the wrong type of comb.....single combs do pop up, especially in hatchery birds.

I'm guessing they are what...6-7 weeks?

1-pullet
2/3-pullet, but not 100% sure
4-pullet and yes, they can have recessive single combs. You can use them for breeding, but you'll want to do lots of test hatching, and know which roo fertilizes her, so you know what he has...some say it's more of a headache than it's worth to use them...
5-pullet
6-roo
7-pullet

Oh, no! Such varied responses!! Could it be because they're harder to sex b/c of the rose comb? Anybody with specific experience with this breed? I was sure at least that the single combed one was a pullet, but maybe not?

I only have my first bunch, so I'm no expert like some of the others. Mine are 11 weeks this week, and I have 1 roo/3 pullets. My roo's comb got redder first, but even as they all started pinking up, the pullets stayed yellow at the bottom like some of yours are, so that's what I based my answers on, also the single comb isn't showing any wattles that I can see...
