Blue merle border collies.. I am in love!

I too am looking forward to the day I can get my BC! A friend of mine has 4, 2 from a breeder, and 2 that people tried to have a strictly housedogs. All 4 are great dogs, and beautiful, but I personally would look for a reputable breeder because you don't know the breeding background of a shelter/rescue dog and it would break my heart to have to part with a dog that wasn't working out.

OOh that red BC is beautiful!!!!!!!!!

Thanks all for assuring me that I'm not a terrible person! I am also wondering, any colleges out there that allow pets? I saw that blonde movie and she had her chihuahua with her at lawyer school. Got me thinking!

most won't allow pets in on-campus housing. You can always find an off-campus apartment that allows pets. Either way, you're going to need a strong plan on how you are going to provide exercise - physical AND mental. Esp if you are thinking of getting a working-line BC. These are dogs that are meant to run with the sheep all day long, so a quick potty walk around the block isn't going to cut it!

I have a blue merle BC and I am always happy to share picture.

Hannah was adopted, she cost me nothing as the rescue who saved her from death row in Elko NV needed to place her after her first Reno adoptive home fell thru.

I was just going to foster her, since I had had show BCs in the past and was not keen on their temperment.

Hannah got out of the car at our house, and it was like she had been raised here from puppyhood.

They MUST have a job - daily. Hannah probably covers 7-10 miles daily - working the 11 acres we have.

I hope I have not posted too many pictures

love the bitey face picture!! She is beautiful. No such thing as too many pictures (Does anyone have dial-up anymore?)

For the exercise part, that's why I plan to get one after college and stuff. I want to have my dachshund with me during college.. By the time I'm a freshman again (urgh

) she should be 7 or 8 years old. I'm somewhat looking forward to Angel's old years.

Unfortunately, I do have dial-up----yuck!!!

Beautiful girl, HorseFeatherz NV! I will probably end up with one BC from my friend (if she's breeding when I can get one) and one from a shelter-----there are so many out there.
