You're not getting what I'm saying. A Black Ameraucana would be Black. The feathers would not have any other hint of color like charcoal, grey, blue, etc. (You might see some white in the primaries until they molt.) At least not until they are older where you may see beetle green or purple iridescence in the sunlight. Blue can be variable. There's dark, medium, and light. Usually breeding Blue to Black deepens the color, while Blue x Blue or even Splash x Splash breedings result in the offspring getting progressively lighter. Basically, if there's any doubt that she's not Black, then she isn't Black.
