Blue Orpington Roo!

Where did he came from or where did you buy the eggs from?

As for the Stanley guy, I thought maybe Angela Stanley out in Missouri be related to him?

Ewesheep, I want on the list for chicks or started chicks when available. PLEASE put me on as I have never hatched but would love some blue orp chicks when available. Thanks in advance:)

Will do, Sabrinamiss!

For black and white splash...I am certain it would be 100 percent blues.....

With pure black and pure whites, I am not certain but I am guessing you wont get blues but perhaps some white with some black flecks....anyone else can correct me on that one! I am wondering too, about crossing the Blue with white Orps pullets....

I bought my eggs from eggbid in the spring from someone in colorado with the name ~ CORANCHER

Don't have any other notations regarding the sale really.

I had an extremely bad hatch and ended up with only one surviving chick but I was plagued with issues...we had a long power outage during incubation (thank god for woodstoves!!!...but I lost a lot of my eggs had a full bator of varied kinds) then at the end of the process I had humidity problems.

That really sucks when that happens! I, too, had problems with my incubator lately and it finally kicked the bucket until I get some part for it.....Luckily all my hatches were done before it did.

Beautiful birds!

Well I went out and bought three more Blue Orp chicks.....will find out the sex LOL. Jeez, I guess I would never stop with just two or three!

In the same state......the breeder is roughly two and half hours away north of me and it would be the same distance for me if I am to drive to Catalupa Farms, south of me. Its a matter of being there at the right time and right day. So far I got about one older pullet, and roughly ten pullets and two older hens and a beautiful roo and two tiny chicks that are doing well. Next spring, I should be in a full swing on things and hopefully get a full doz by summer of next year once the young girls start laying. Majority of them are July chicks so around eight months of age, they should start laying.

Sandhill Preservation is about a good four and half hours drive from me if I am to order chicks.

Most of the birds I hatch out on Eggbid....and we certainly have a few in here that raises Blue Orps too.
