Blue Orpingtons @ 22 Weeks Old

Just posting a pic of Suede and Velvet, my Blue Orp "teenagers". He must be a foot wide across his back and his chest and that's not an exaggeration! Four weeks ago, he weighed eight pounds! Velvet has started laying cute little pullet eggs so soon, I'll be selling hatching eggs from that pen, which also has one Lt. Brahma pullet and one Buff Brahma.
***I just weighed Suede again and he has gained a half-pound, so is up to 8.5 lb.

Thanks, all. He's beginning to show the makings of a fine protector for his girls. The main flock ranges most of each day and when I put them up, Suede and his girls get to run around. When I come out the door of the house, he comes running from wherever he is on the property. He's a good boy so far.

I am a newbie here, but I had to say your blue orps are beautiful, I am the proud mommy to 4, 5 day old blue orp babies I picked up on Monday. I also have 27 other babies 3weeks old , rainbow layer collection from MM, we are having fun trying to figure out who is what. Again your babies are awesome, hope my kids will look that great.
