All three of my roosters, the Barred Rock, Ameraucana, and Suede are very docile and easy to handle. They are great guys, all three of them. Suede and Hawkeye spar through the pen every day a little with each other, but I have no fear that either of them will ever be aggressive with me. I pick Suede up quite often, making sure to use my knees and not my back, LOL. He's a chunk of a rooster, larger than Hawkeye.
Suede crows quite alot in the morning, but not too early. He may crow alot because he's young. Also, we have alot of game roosters in the area and mine answer them. Hawkeye doesn't crow nearly as much. Suede announces us when we come home from anywhere and he has a deep, baritone crow. Actually, sometimes he sounds quite unlike a rooster and more like a big dog howling. Wish I could record it and put on a wavfile.

Are you still selling hatching eggs this season? I'd love to have some to keep my buffs company, and the incubator should be here any day!

Yes, Cara, I'm still sending eggs out and have them going out every week till the first of November already. If I had more pullets, I'd be able to send to more than one person per week, but I won't have till Skye starts laying. I may have a couple more weeks to go on her, then I have to be sure of fertility, too. I may send them through November and maybe into December, unless the dang weather is just as cold as the summer was hot. I'll start up again maybe at the end of February, depending again, on the weather.

Jill! You better hurry, girl! I'm booked till the end of Oct. There is one possibility before that during a week someone only wants Ameraucanas, not the Orps, that I might be able to get you some out. As long as you aren't pulling my leg, LOL!

Nope, I am not pulling your leg, but also would LOVE some of the Ameraucana's. Go ahead and put me in for that for first of November and then if I cant get them then, I will let you know and someone else can go ahead of me.
Dont need any more of Lexie's, Lily is such a character in and of herself!
