I love that coloring....I love my Blue Ridge Mountains and that is the exact color they are some days. I just never thought to find a chicken the color of my beloved mountains!

I would not call SpeckledHen, BamaChicken, etc BYC Orp folks as HATCHERIES! Not the run of the mill kind if you get my drift

Sandhill Preservation is a hatchery, they dont really do alot of culling or doing things to cull out the bad traits....they do have them but they may be sold out next year. However your best bet is to get some from the BYC folks in here which they raise better birds than hatcheries would do.

You wont be sorry if you go that route....get them from a BYCer or all of them LOL!

They do have a similarity in looks. I didn't notice until I read your comment. I'll be looking closer when I go out this morning. LOL
