Blue Perfection- What Is The Perfect Chicken Blue ~~Discussion~~

I'm terrible - blue birchen, blue wheaten, blue, blue partridge, blue barred - it all appeals. And I'd never seen a blue bird before coming here. It is ALL you alls fault! And I can say it like that cuz I live in TN now.

Well, I have a few blues. And Im not sure what I like best. I love the lacey blues, but I also like the light blues with little or no lacing.

I'm with Halo. It's either all or nothing...I don't much care for the "some lacing here, some lacing there". On halo's second photo, if the bird had the same lacing on the front over the entire body, I'd be in love. But I'm also in love with the first photo she posted...

HALO CAUSED MY BLUE ADDICTION!!!!!!!! It's HER FAULT... And I need more come Fall budget or not, dentist of not. It's her dark laced hens that did it!

Halo - do you ever get any dark dark blue with a teeny little bit of white in them. This one pullet may indeed be one of your blacks and not my barred/partridge blacks. Because this bird is very blue black or black with itty bitty touches of white. And any white at all doesn't happen in the mixed birds - and she had really nice body type like yours. I'm keeping her her type is so nice and she's built just like my blue from you, Lenore.

Some of my black rock girls get some white tips on some of their feathers, but they are all gone by the time they are fully mature.

And Im honored to have started your addiction. Its only fair you join in my addiction.
