Blue & Splash Ameraucanas...and one Welsummer Girl

Do you know June-bugs cross? She looks a lot like our Ameraucana X. We think ours was crossed with a Wellsummer. Yours just has a more gold color than ours.

What beautiful girls! I love the blue and splash Ameraucanas especially, but they are all beautiful.

Thanks. I do think they are pretty young ladies, inc Miss June, who is keeping me waiting for that first egg a longer time than she should be. June came from an egg that was supposed to be a Salmon Ameraucana (which technically are Easter Eggers till the color is approved in the standard). I'm thinking she has Blue Wheaten Ameraucana in her background somewhere.

WOW, I don't think you own one ugly chicken, they are all BEAUTIFUL! I'm wishing I were closer... to where you live or that I had room to hatch and expand from your eggs.

They are truly awesome.

What a nice thing to say! Maybe I should get a pic of my molting broody hen, Glenda, to change your mind about that. She's so bald, she looks like a semi-Turken, LOL. (Normally, she's quite beautiful, though.)

And that's the Welsummer in the first pic? THAT's what my girl is!! Hot dang!

Yep, that's one of my Wellie girls. The other one was nowhere to be found when the camera was out. The only way I can tell them apart is that Alma is a bit larger and rounder than Justine. Check the earlobes, Tori. Brown Leghorns look alot like Welsummers except for the white earlobes.

Thanks for the tip! I've been scratching my head wondering. I have an Ameraucana with the same coloring as Alma... the techincal names for all these different colors is stumping me, though, as you know...

Someday I'll figure it out!! LOL!

She's from Cree Farms, too. Neat to see how consistent these birds can be in type. I swear I have some EEs that look like yours, too!
