Here they are as chicks.

I think 5 o6 6 weeks old? The 2 buffs in the center are the hens, the red looking one on the right is a roo. The white on the left is a Yokohama, the black girl with eyeliner in back is an EE and the one in front is Hiro.

These were taken right before I sold them. That's 2x4 fencing behind that roo to give you an idea of his size at 13 or 14 weeks old.

I am posting a few pics of the several NN that I have hatched from Dipsey. I have to admit that I love the suprises I get from her eggs. The first pic is of a wonderful NN that unfortunately I went out one day and found dead in the pen.

I dont know what happen. I sure hope in the future to hatch another like it. I have 5 NN hatched from her eggs and they are all very different.

Big and beautiful. This one is the size of my golden laced polish and depending on what it turns out to be I will keep it with one. I am thinking hen since there are no wattles. Cant tell by the neck feathers..lol

This is a regular feathered mottled neck. Some that I have hatched have lighter colored necks with dark spots on them.

This is a dark necked showgirl.

Here is a NN Frizzle

A regular feathered Black necked blue

Lastly a NN hatched from a green egg. This one is pretty much black with white on a couple wing feathers.

The little multi-colored chick was pretty, sorry you lost her

Pics #2 and #3 are boys, I think.

This is the splash NN EE roo:

I'm having trouble keeping the blue clean-faced EE hens in the pen with him --- they're kind of flighty.
Kevin, I believe all mine are pea combed, or pea-ish (like the splash NN roo).

Le'see, if I move the hens today, they'll be clean by the 2/1 (I might need another incubator).
Cool Carole, you and Angie can be the 'testers'.

Any updates? I'm getting the hatching bug!

MAJOR setback

Nothing I could do to keep those hens in the new pen with the NN roo, so I just moved 2 and the roo to a 3'x6' breeding pen (those are the pens I have with tops). At least we'll be able to hatch a few eggs and *see* what the chicks are like

(Nobody around here lets me do things 'the easy way')
