Was wondering If I should keep it within this family of bird to keep the color continuing or if I can make it different with other colors of silkies .pic of my buff roo Introducing himself to the splash roo, and the hen laying on the old lady she loves to be held. Just looking for advice on color combinations. Also how rare is the blue color or if that is what these 2 are.

They appear to be mixed colors of Silkie, there’s no color to continue there.
The “splash” appears to be a blue with silver leakage. The buff appears to be buff. The hen is I think silver partridge with mahogany.

ok well I was lied to then lol, I don but know enough about the splash to say for sure that it was a blue. Paid 50 bucks for the pair, and a trio
Of watermaal banties so think I still got a got a good deal. Well I’ll just let them do there thing abs what ever color comes out so be it.

But as long as the splash breed together I’ll get some kinda splash correct?

Splash x splash will give you splash, though I do not see any splash in your birds. Agree most likely blue with leakage as @Amer described. They likely came from a mixed color pen. Your birds are lovely and you will likely get some fun color surprises from them.🥰
Photo below of my splash hen as an example of what this should look like.

He’s adorable! Like my little man, and he won’t hurt a fly.

He is a handsome fellow! Yes, Silkie boys can be incredibly sweet. My rooster which is in my avatar photo, is also a love bug.
Here he is in my daughter’s lap, he will often fall asleep like this.🤣🥰

I have 4 Roos together They content with each other no fighting or anything, 3 silkie Roos and a porcelain Duucle he can Be testy but they get along. The only problem I’ve had is where this is his first mating season pretty much all Adams first mating season they’ve been kind of cranky not acting themselves with all the hormones raging.
