blue Swedish ducks dont want to swim

Hi everyone i have 2 blue swedish ducks that are about 4 to 5 weeks old. I have a little kiddie pool for them and they dont like to swim i tried putting them in it and they jumped out. is this normal

I toss weeds like Clover and dandelion into the pool and have a step for them to get into the pool..
