It's encouraging to hear that they can learn the difference between cats that are family pets and those that are not. Ideally we don't want her to go after any cats as we live a short distance from my in-laws and they have a family of wild or feral cats that stat around their house.
Angel is very obedient when we tell her "NO." She stops in her tracks when she hears it. I was out in the yard with her this morning and one of our cats kept coming close to us because the cats have to be where I am and are not too afraid of dogs. Angel sat obediently when the cat approached. It was clear that she was working at sitting there calmly but she did well and I praised her for it.
