Hi, I'm looking for confirmation from all you experienced and also maybe providing an answer for anyone else looking to see if it's normal. I couldn't find anything about blue skin(that matched) when it first showed up last night and to be honest, it scared me a little.
My hen was grabbed by a hawk last week. Her wounds are healing up very nicely and every day she acts more like herself. She is, however, still rather bald. Last night when I checked on her an irridecent blue tint was on majority of her bald areas. There wasn't anything else unusual or alarming. Since I also couldn't find anything about it on here, I decided to wait and watch. Well today it's still slightly blue but there are also obvious signs of feathers in the works.
IS THIS NORMAL FOR THEIR SKIN TO BE LIGHT BLUE BEFORE NEW FEATHERS COME IN?
Thanks!
