Blue ?

I read somewhere that the hatchery quality blue Wyandotte‘s often have slate colored legs. Yes they are supposed to be yellow. But she is beautiful nonetheless! 😊

No....she‘s not of laying age. She’s maybe 13-15 weeks old? Not nearly 20-25, which is laying age.
I have had her that long, and she was the same size now as she was then. The Speckled Sussex in with her are 7 months old, and she is 1/3 bigger than they are.

Oh. LOL. She looks quite young to me.

I have blue wyandottes from privett hatchery. They are beautiful birds and the majority go broody every year. Mine have slate legs and rose combs. The only reason im not going to get any more blue wyandottes is because altho they lay well, their eggs only reach size medium as mature hens. They are the only breed i have whos eggs never reach at least size large. Small egg size is the only complaint i have about them.
