I've read many times that if you breed a splash BLRW rooster with a dark laced hen all the babies will be blue. Mine are all coming out dark laced. I have a splash hen also and those babies are all coming out splash as expected. Why are all the dark laced babies coming out dark laced as well? I know there is no chance of the dad being a different rooster because they are set up in a special breeding coop to prevent mixed breeding. Can anyone explain why everyone says splash and black laced make 100% blue babies and this has not happened for these chicks?
