Actually, when my cat had kittens she had a male calico

and yes it was a male. And even though your male cat is fixed, other males can come from miles around just to mate with a female.

I think male calicos are possible, but they are normally sterile.

And your two "ugly" ones are absolutey adorable. I just love tortie kittens. Those two are most likely girls, since the chance of them being males is very low.

I've also noticed that calico females seem to produce orange males. My calico barn cat that i currently have has a orange striped male. I wonder if thats just an odd coincidence or something to do with genetics?

But congrats on the kittens, they and their mother are both just precious!

I was really upset when I read that somebody posted they were ugly babies until I realized that that poster was the original poster.
